City and Guilds 2382-10 and 2382-20

If you are working as an electrician, surveyor, or a consultant in the building industry, you need to keep your electrical qualifications up to date. Getting your City & Guilds 2382-10 or 2382-20 wiring qualifications is part of ensuring that your skills are current.

Electrical Qualifications for 2382-10 and 2382-20: Course Requirements

While there are no specific entry requirements for the 2382-10, the course is geared toward people who have some experience as an electrician or in the trades. If you are interested in getting on this course, it is recommended that you complete your electrical

qualifications and get some practical experience first.

If you are interested in the 2382-20 course, there are course requirements that you must fulfill before you can get on the course. This program is designed for people who are already working as electricians who have some knowledge of BS 7671. In a situation where you are not familiar with the requirements of BS 7671, you will need to complete the electrical qualifications for the Requirements for Electrical Installations (City and Guilds Level 3).

To receive your certificate, you must be able to show that you have fulfilled the requirements for one of the following City and Guilds Level 3 Certificates:

• Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671(2381)

• Electrotechnical Technology Installation (Building and Structures) (2330-07),

• Electrotechnical Technology Electrical Maintenance (2330-08)

• Electrotechnical Technology Electrical Maintenance (2360)

Until you can show the appropriate documentation, your certificate will be held by the centre.

Electrical Qualifications for 2382-10 and 2382-20: Fees

You will be required to pay a fee for taking the online exam after you have finished the 2382-10 or the 2382-20 course. No other fees will be charged to get this electrical qualification. If you need to
