City and Guilds 2330-Level 2 and 3
You can get on a City and Guilds 2330 Certificate in Electrotechnology course without having any previous knowledge or practical experience. If this is your situation, you should start at Level 2 to get your electrical qualifications.
Why Take the 2330 Course
If you want to get proper electrical qualifications, you need to get the right training. Once you have completed all the elements necessary to qualify as an electrician, you have a job with prospects. You can choose to focus on residential projects or work on a building site of any size. You may decide to work in a factory,
or some people decide to open their own business after completing their electrical qualifications.
When to Take the 2330 Course
The 2330 course is taken in conjunction with your apprenticeship to get qualifications in electrical engineering. Along with basic course content, you will also choose from a number of electives that will help you get your electrical qualifications to work in the following occupations:
• Electrical Machine Rewind and Repair
• Electrotechnical Panel Building
• Electrical Installation in Buildings and Structures
• Highway Electrical Systems
• Electrical Maintenance Installing Instrumentation (and Equipment)
The 2330 Course: Level 2
Level 2 of the 2330 course is conducted in a classroom setting and is designed for the beginner student. It covers the following subject areas:
• Unit 211: The first part of the course deals with health and safety issues. It also introduces some basic topics relating to the electrical industry, such as drawings and how they are used.
