City and Guilds 2392

The City and Guilds 2392 Level 2 Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification is a relatively recent electrical qualification with the aim of helping candidates with less experience gain relevant training and experience, before tackling the more difficult and in depth City and Guilds 2391 qualification.

It is expected (and hoped!) that students who first pass the 2392 will have greater success at passing the 2391 at a later date.

With the 2391 exam generally having a greater number of students failing than passing, it was seen as a necessary step to introduce a ‘stepping stone’ qualification in the form of the City and Guilds 2392.

The 2392 has no pre-qualification requirements and there is no practical element to the exam. The 2392 exam is taken online in the form of 50 multiple choice questions which must be answered in 100 minutes.
