Diploma in Electrotechnical Craft

The City and Guilds 2365 Diploma in Electrotechnical Craft is essentially the same set of knowledge units as 2357 but without the need to complete the NVQ. The 2365 is an excellent way to acquire the knowledge to enter the electrical industry.


The 2365 qualification is frequently offered in further education colleges.


Why Take the 2365 Course?

The new 2365 Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations is offered by colleges as a route for students to work towards qualifications as electricians in the building services engineering sector. The qualification allows candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the electrotechnology industry.


2365 Level 2

The 2365 Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations has five units of which four are tested by City & Guilds Online Multiple Choice Examinations. The online assessed units of 2365:


501 - Health and safety in building services engineering

202 - Principles of electrical science

203 - Electrical installations technology

210 - Understand how to communicate with others in the building services industry


Units 201 and 204 of the 2365 syllabus are practical units.


2365 Level 3

The 2365 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations has five units of which four are tested by practical assessment and on by City & Guilds Online Multiple Choice Examinations


301 - Understand the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems (Online assessmeent)

302 - Principles of Electrical Science

303 - Electrical installations: fault diagnosis and rectification

304 - Electrical Installations: Inspection, Testing and Commissioning

305 - Electrical Systems Design

308 - Career awareness in building services engineering
